About us

Millan is founded by Sonia Mills-Minster. Millan & Associate’s social workers, social service workers and psychologists have extensive experience supporting clients from all backgrounds, with an emphasis on compassion, respect and confidentiality. The core members of our culturally diverse team are Masters-level educated and have more than 15 years of experience each.

Our proactive approach

Millan is highly specialized in proactively educating and empowering clients from diverse and marginalized backgrounds. Our focus is on prevention. Through our unique family advocacy services, we support families, children, youth, adults and seniors from all cultures. Millan’s founder and creator, established the agency to provide therapeutic services, to address systemic racism and biases in systems such as education, child welfare and criminal justice.

Sharing knowledge and experiences

We are also dedicated to giving back to the community of therapists. We share our learned experiences and research to help improve the fields of psychology and social work. We contribute to the collective knowledge of our peers through speaking engagements, research papers and books – thereby helping families locally, nationally and globally.
